Greetings book fans!
First we'd like to congratulate all of the participants and winners of the Camp NaNoWriMo April session. Well done!
Those who won stuck with it through all of the doubt, the fear, and the sleep deprivation. Brilliant, all of you.
And those who did not quite make the finish line still attempted something great! You started a novel, or continued one, or started or continued something else...but the point is, you allowed your creativity to soar for the month of April and for that, we at Collier Bluff Books salute you.
Our own Kate Warren finished with another 50,000 plus words on her soon to be finished (we hope) work in progress The DeFord Chronicles, Part II, a historical fiction adventure that promises to be even more thrilling then the first book in the series. In addition to the ongoing saga of the DeFord family, Kate is making plans for a humor/parody novel, a trilogy or regency romances (of the sweet variety), a Gothic parody of as yet undetermined length, more contemporary novels and is considering trying her hand at short stories.
Collier Bluff Books is also pleased to report that we are in talks with a talented new author (who has not decided whether or not to use a pen name, so we won't give her name just yet) who promises to deliver rollicking good reads. Early drafts of her work have left us very impressed and quite literally laughing out loud.
Aside from the weather, which had been nice but is turning cold again, and what we've already mentioned, there is little to report. It's been a quiet spring for us so far.
